Des Moines Fellowship is led by a team of Elders who teach on a rotating basis, bringing a variety of input and perspective. The Elders share ministry with a team of Deacons, whose mission is to serve the church body.
In the New Testament the only two offices which are identified (& given qualifications for) are that of elder & deacon. Elders are the 'pastors' in a local church. The word pastor simply means shepherd. That is one of the responsibiilites of an elder. In the N.T. 'pastor' is used to describe a function and a spiritual gift. It was not a title or office.

My wife, Cathy, and I helped start Des Moines Fellowship almost 30 years ago in the living room of a home on the east side of Des Moines with just a few& couples and young singles. We worshiped God together, prayed and studied the Bible to discover more about God and the relationship with Himself that He designed us for; the same things we are still doing today. We love coming here and our family has thrived in the healthy, grace-filled and Christ-centered environment.
Any news and updates about the pastor can appear here.
